Sales Tax

Japan Consumption Tax (JCT) is calculated and added at checkout on orders delivered within Japan.  Orders delivered outside of Japan are not subject to JCT but may be subject to import duties and customs fees.

Import Duties and Customs Fees

Import duties and customs fees may be charged for orders of some products. These are charged directly to the customer and do not involve Redpants. These fees are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in any order unless explicitly stated.

ご注文は銀行振込またはクレジットカードでお支払いいただけます。American Express、Diners Club、JCB、Mastercard、Visa をご利用いただけます。

 

Orders placed in our Online Store can be paid by bank transfer or credit card.

We accept American Express, Diners Club, JCB, Mastercard, and Visa.

Orders paid by bank transfer will not ship until the bank transfer has been received by Redpants.​

Orders delivered locally by Redpants ourselves may be paid in cash. Please contact us before ordering to make arrangements for local deliveries and cash payments.

Credit Card Payments

Payment for an order using a credit card must be made at the time the order is placed. The order will not be processed if payment is not made.

Bank Transfer Payments

Payment for an order using a bank transfer must be made within 3 business days or the order will be cancelled. Orders paid by bank transfer will not ship until the brank transfer has been received by Redpants.

Invoice Orders

Invoice orders can be paid by credit card or bank transfer.  Orders paid by invoice will not be processed until payment is received. 

発送 / Shipping

Redpants に在庫がある商品は 5 日以内に発送されます。受注生産品の場合、発送予定日はメールでお知らせします。ご注文前にメールにてお問い合わせいただければ、事前に送料のお見積りをさせていただきます。
 

Shipping charges are based on the size and weight of the shipment(s), the shipment origination, and the shipment destination. Shipping charges are automatically calculated during checkout based on estimated shipping weights and sizes, and may vary from actual shipping weights. Overcharges for shipping costs will not be refunded.

Items kept in stock at Redpants will ship within 3 business days.

An automated email that includes tracking information will be sent to the customer when an order is fulfilled. It is the customer's responsibility to keep track of the shipment status. If the automated email is not received, please contact us.

Redpants is not responsible for delivery delays caused by shipping carriers, Customs processes, mechanical or weather issues, or other factors outside of our control.

Customers are responsible for receiving the delivery of their orders. Redpants is not responsible if a delivery is not completed due to the customer or other applicable person not being available at the time of delivery.

Deliveries to Temporary Lodgings

Orders being delivered to a hotel, AirBnB, or other temporary lodging must include clear and complete information to ensure the order is delivered to the customer. This includes, but may not be limited to, a hotel room number, the name of the person on the reservation, a local host name and phone number, or any other pertinent information needed for the shipping carrier to deliver the order to the customer.

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure they provide adequate delivery information and will be available at the time of delivery.  Once an order being delivered to a temporary lodging has been marked as fulfilled and has shipped, the order is considered completed.

Redpants is not responsible for the customer not receiving an order due to shipping or delivery delays, the customer being unavailable, the shipping carrier not having adequate delivery information, or other factors not within the full control of Redpants.

返品 / Returns

新品、未使用、アンインストールされた製品は、配達後 15 営業日以内であれば返品できます。 15%の手数料が返金から差し引かれます。届いた商品に問題、破損または欠陥のある製品は、配達後 15 営業日以内であれば返品して全額返金を受けることができます。すべての返品について事前に返品承認をリクエストする必要があり、そうでない場合は返品は受け付けられません。 送料は返金不可であり、返品の送料はお客様の負担となります。

Products that are incorrect or defective can be returned for a replacement or full refund. A return authorization request must be received within 15 business days of delivery and, once that request has been approved, the returned product must be received by Redpants within 15 business days from the date of that approval.

Products that are not incorrect or defective can be returned so long as they are in brand-new condition, unused, and have not been installed. A return authorization request must be received within 15 business days of delivery and, once that request has been approved, the returned product must be received by Redpants within 15 business days from the date of that approval.

A 15% handling fee will be deducted from the refund. Shipping fees are non-refundable and the customer is responsible for return shipping fees.

A return authorization must be requested for all returns in advance or the return will not be accepted. If Redpants receives a return without prior authorization, the product will be held for 30 calendar days. During that time, the customer must make arrangements for retrieval of the product. If such arrangements are not made during that time, Redpants will consider the product to have been abandoned by the customer.

Returns for Special Order Products, Custom Order Products, and Garage Sale Products are subject to their Policies defined below.

注文のキャンセル / Order Cancellations

Order cancellations for products kept in-stock at Redpants must be received and processed by Redpants prior to an order shipping to the customer. Once an order has been marked as fulfilled and shipped to the customer, it is considered completed and is then subject to the Returns policies applicable to the products in that order.

Order cancellations for Special Order Products, Custom Order Products, and Garage Sale Products are subject to their Policies defined below.

特注品 / Special Order Products

Ordering and Shipping

Redpants can provide a delivery time estimate for Special Order Products, however the actual delivery time may be before or after that estimated time. Redpants is not responsible for any issues due to deliveries not matching the estimated timeframes.

 

Cancellations and Returns
Orders for Special Order Products are considered completed once the Special Order Product has shipped from our suppliers.

  • If the customer requests to cancel an order for a Special Order Product after the product has shipped from our suppliers but before it has shipped to the customer, the order is subject to a 25% cancellation fee that will be deducted from the refund, and the customer will receive a 100% shipping refund.

  • If the customer requests to cancel an order for a Special Order Product after the product has shipped to the customer, it is subject to a 25% restocking fee that will be deducted from the refund. The customer is responsible for return postage fees, and no refunds for shipping fees will be given.

カスタムオーダー製品 / Custom Order Products

Ordering and Shipping

Redpants can provide a production time estimate for Custom Order products, however actual production may begin before or after that estimated time, and/or be completed earlier or later than expected. Redpants is not responsible for any issues due to production or deliveries completed before or after estimated production or delivery times.

 

Cancellations and Returns
Orders for Custom Order Products cannot be cancelled once manufacturing has begun. Once manufacturing begins, the order is considered final and cannot be changed, cancelled, or returned.

ガレージセール商品 / Garage Sale Products

Garage Sale Products are products that are in-stock at Redpants but will not be restocked once sold out. These products may be brand new, "open box," or used. Garage Sale product listings will include an explanation of why the product is listed as a Garage Sale Product, but please contact us with any questions before ordering.

Ordering and Shipping

Garage Sale Products are kept in-stock at Redpants and will ship within 3 business days.

 

Cancellations and Returns
Orders for Garage Sale Products must be received and processed by Redpants prior to the order shipping to the customer. Once an order has been marked as fulfilled and shipped to the customer, it is considered completed.

Orders for Garage Sale Products are final. No returns, refunds, or exchanges will be accepted.

割引とパッケージ価格 / Discounts and Package-Pricing

Discounts applied during promotions or as part of Package-Pricing are only valid so long as all conditions for the discount are met and maintained. Discounts are only valid during their applicable period. Discounts cannot be applied retroactively to an order.

Package-Pricing discounts are only valid so long as the package of items in an order stays complete. If any part of an order containing a Package-Pricing discount is altered or cancelled, all discounts related to the Package-Pricing will be forfeit.

  • For example, if two $100 items are ordered and a 10% Package-Pricing discount is applied, for an order total of $180, and one item is returned, the remaining item will be charged the full $100 non-discounted price and the refund will be calculated accordingly.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What brands and products do you sell?

We offer OEM parts from Aston Martin (and Aston Martin-compatible companies), as well as aftermarket products from a variety of manufacturers. Check out our Brands and Products page for more information about each of them.

Are the parts you sell authentic?

All parts sold by Redpants Japan are authentic OEM or high-quality aftermarket products. Any product styled similar to OEM (non-OEM products, including "replicas") are clearly labeled with the manufacturer's name.

Are the parts you sell new or used?

The parts we sell are all new unless specifically stated otherwise. Any used items will be listed as a Garage Sale Product with an explanation of its use and condition.

Are there any import duties that must be paid after an order is placed?

Import duties depend on the delivery country, that country's import duties policy, and/or the order value. These must be paid to the charging agency (government, delivery carrier, or whomever else is responsible for collecting import duties in the delivery country).

Import duties are not required for orders being delivered within Japan. These are paid by Redpants in advance and no further import duties are required.

I'm visiting Japan, can you ship parts to my hotel or AirBnB?

Yes!  But keep in mind that orders delivered in Japan are subject to Japan Consumption Tax (JCT) as Redpants Japan does not have duty free status for goods purchased by tourists.  Please see our Shipping Policies above for more information about deliveries to temporary lodgings.

Can you ship outside of Japan?

Yes, and we do it a lot!  If delivery options are not available during checkout, please contact us. If we're able to ship products to your country, we'll update our shipping system so you can place your order.

However, not all products are available for all markets.  For example, VelocityAP has a sole distribution contract with another company in Australia and New Zealand, so Redpants cannot ship their products to those countries.

How long does shipping take?

Products kept in-stock at Redpants will ship out within 3 business days, but are usually shipped out the same day or next business day.

  • Orders within Japan are usually delivered in 1-3 days after an order is shipped. Same-day local deliveries within Kanagawa-ken and Tokyo are available on a limited basis. Please contact us to make arrangements prior to ordering if same-day delivery is needed.

  • Orders to the US and Canada are usually delivered in 4-7 days after the order is shipped.

  • Orders to Australia and New Zealand are usually delivered in 5-8 days after the order is shipped.

NOTE: Although we do our best to ship orders as quickly as possible, delivery times cannot be guaranteed. Delays due to shipping carriers, Customs, and/or other factors outside of our control can and do happen. The delivery time ranges listed above are the most common delivery time ranges for shipments we have sent to those countries, but some deliveries may fall outside of those ranges. For example, our quickest shipment to the US was delivered in just 2 days, while one shipment took 11 days.

Products shipped from our suppliers are shipped once ready and shipped by those suppliers. Redpants does not have control over supplier shipments.

I don't speak Japanese, can I still contact you?

Of course! We speak English, Japanese, and Portuguese. If needed, Google Translate can help as well. We sometimes send emails in two languages to help ensure understanding and better foster communication.

Can you install the parts for me?

We do not currently offer installation services, but will assist if we're able to do so.
