Let's Drive Japan!

One of the things I've been wanted to do for years now is to offer guided tours. The thing is, I've always had too much going on to add "tour guide" to my repertoire and I honestly haven't been passionate about it enough because I've always been more focused on doin car things. And then, my buddy Floris made a quick trip to Japan. He wanted to rent a nice car and go for a drive outside of Tokyo, and asked me for some advice. A few days later, along with another friend, I was guiding us on a drive through Hakone.

Um, don't ask me why my Aston Martin is parked so far up the Ferrari's tail pipe... Floris was guiding me while parking.

During one of our stops, Floris told me how much fun he was having and suggested I start offering tours as part of my company. I told him it's something I'd been considering for a long time and, after chatting with him about it, I finally decided to go ahead and do it.

So now, Redpants is offering guided driving tours!

Not just hard parking

Part of deciding to offer tours was that I wanted to focus on drivers who want to actually experience Japan beyond what gets blasted across social media and hyped up for the Wildo-Speedo crowd. That's why the tours we have are based on driving routes going to places worthwhile, not just going to the trendy Instagram hot spots for check-ins.

Sure, we can take you around Tokyo if you want, but the main goal is to get people out of the city! The quickest scenic route out of Tokyo is our Hakone driving tour - it's six hours from start to finish so it fits in easily with most people's trip schedules. For something more interesting, we can take you on a 2-day or even 3-day tour. Our multi-day tours are highly flexible - we organize them based on our customers' schedules, budgets, and interests.

Our single-day tours are ready to book, but we ask that you to contact us for multi-day tours so we can design them to accommodate your needs.

Rental Cars

By collaborating with rentmejp, we're able to offer several cars to use on our driving tours. Since we focus on driving, we recommend a car suited to that purpose like the Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS, Aston Martin DB9, or Ferrari Portofino. But we also have all-electric cars like the Volvo EX30 and Tesla Model Y Performance, and a couple Mini Coopers as well in case those better suit you.

We really want our customers to enjoy our tours as much as possible, so we're doing everything we can to take away all the stress points of renting a car. For example, our tours start and end in Shibuya (an easy walk from stations for two different train lines), and there's no need to refill the cars with gas before turning them in. Worried about driving in a foreign country? Not a problem - we'll lead the way and we've got walkie-talkies to guide you the whole time.

We know how important your time is during a vacation and we want to do everything we can to make our time with us as seamless and enjoyable as possible, so we'll discuss things with you beforehand to make sure we can meet your expectations.

Redpants Updates

We're still rolling out our bespoke Redpants products, with lots of progress! Here's the latest updates for what's going on.

Titanium Lug Nuts

Currently in production! These are in production now with the first run expected to arrive in a couple weeks. Pre-orders will ship as soon as they arrive, and the pre-order discount will end at that point.

Door Sill and Engine Plaques

These are now in pre-production testing. I've decided to go with titanium for these so they'd match my lug nuts. I'm sure most people would never notice, but I have a quirky urge to match little details like this, so, titanium it is. We're making both the plaques that go on the door sill scuff plates, and the one that goes on the slam panel in the engine bay.

They'll be available in the same finishes as the Redpants Lug Nuts and are fully customizable. Please contact us before ordering so we can confirm the details to make sure we can make them to your specifications!

Oil Catch Cans

Currently in pre-production! One of our manufacturers for another product is now taking these on, and is now setting up to begin producing them for us! We're still expecting these to take a while, but will hopefully ready to ship to customers starting in two months.

Just like the originals, these will be a complete kit with everything needed for installation, which is quick and easy. They'll be available in two finishes: stainless and wrinkle black. I'll be making a product listing so they can be pre-ordered when we get closer to production so stay tuned!

Keep Up to Date
